ABOUT US: The iNDUS BMT Group was founded in 2013 at the Tandem BMT meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. It includes blood and bone marrow transplantation (BMT) and cellular therapy (CT) experts of Indian and South Asian origin  who practice in India, USA, Australia, Middle East and other regions. The Group is focused at learning from each other and contributes towards educational, training, and networking activities.

 

Objectives of the Group are to:

  • Establish and maintain a national organization of persons of Southeast Asian origin who have a common interest in the technological, scientific and clinical disciplines related to BMT and CT.

  • Support educational activities with other nations with limited resources in the field, especially India, for the promotion of BMT and CT which can result in human improvement and welfare and advance highest possible standards of education, research, and practice of BMT and CT.

  • To help and support trainees or other professionals from countries with growing BMT and CT infrastructure by providing exposure to centers with established world-class facilities.

  • To educate and inform potential BMT and CT donors from ethnic minorities and in turn help to expand donor pools in the registries.

  • Sponsoring forums for expression and exchange of ideas on these topics and related fields in the Indian Sub-continent, Europe, America and the rest of the world with the expressed understanding that the opinions expressed are those of the individuals and not of the Group.

  • To promote education and empowerment of BMT and CT patients and their families.

  • To facilitate efforts to maintain the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in patient care.

  • To advance the efforts of this non-profit association of professionals through collective advocacy.
